Fridays: 2:30pm assembly for all students in the Recreation Centre. All parents / carers are welcome to attend.

Concessional School Fee Availability

To assist school families in accessing a Catholic primary education for their child/children, Melbourne Archdiocese of Catholic Schools have introduced a concessional fee policy. Concessional school fees are available to any family that meets the below eligibility criteria:

  • of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander heritage
  • holding an HCC and eligible for CSEF
  • experiencing severe financial hardship
  • holding a DVA Gold Card
  • identified as refugees and holding an ImmiCard is strongly encouraged to apply for concessional school fees.

OSH Club (Outside Hours School Care)

St Bernard’s Parish Primary School’s OSH Club provides a before and after school care service for students attending the school. OSH club is housed in the Recreation Centre. Before school care for students commences from 6.30 am until the start of school, and until the end of the school day until 6.15 pm. OSH club provides regular programming for children including crafts, games, construction, outdoor play and sport. Students are well supervised and provided with nutritious food as part of the program. OSH Club provides permanent and casual bookings for students who are enrolled in the program.

Uniform

St. Bernard’s students wear a summer and winter uniform. Uniforms can be purchased at the Uniform Store, 146-148 Main Street Bacchus Marsh. Contact: email www.uniformstore.com.au or call 5667 6100.

Parents and Friends

The Parents and Friends Association is a vital part of St Bernard’s Parish School. The Parents and Friends Association works to build a strong school community by enhancing the links between family, school and the wider community. The aim is for all families to feel welcome and form friendships within the school community. All parents and carers of St Bernard’s children are encouraged and welcome to join and be part of the Parents and Friends Association.  The primary purpose of the Parents and Friends Association is to:

  • Serve the school by fundraising 
  • Provide an opportunity for parents and carers to learn about the educational process
  • Provide an means for parents to connect to the school community 
  • Enhance Parish – School collaboration
