Parent Testimonials

“Our children have been attending St Bernard’s primary school for the past 6 years and just love it! From our first tour of the school we felt welcome and included, and that feeling has only grown over the years as we’ve gotten to know the staff, teachers, and other families at the school.”

“I would recommend St Bernard’s Parish Primary School for the values taught to the children and for its Catholic focus. The children are taught a bounce back program which focuses on values and attributes such as resilience, kindness to others and empathy. Sister Mary Sarah leads the school with such values along with compassion and dedication. The teachers provide a warm and nurturing environment for the children to learn. There are good opportunities to be actively involved in school life through the Parents and Friends Association. It is a friendly and welcoming group and is a good way of meeting other parents/carers.”

“The small class sizes have meant that when they’ve found learning difficult, the teachers have been quick to identify their needs and put supports in place to help them. The school has always kept us informed of any issues along the way, and has provided us with guidance to be able to help at home. They provide an incredible amount of excursions and activities to make learning fun for the kids, and encourage us parents to become involved too. We would definitely recommend St Bernard’s to other families!”

“Teachers have genuinely cared about educating our children and have demonstrated a dedicated, passionate and responsive approach to teaching and learning. In addition, our children not only have had the opportunity to excel in the classroom but have had many opportunities to engage in leadership roles, interschool sporting competitions and fundraising activities, to enhance their social wellbeing.”

“Parents are welcomed from the very first moment they arrive and have the opportunity to work in collaboration with the school through participation in various committees and initiatives that the school has to offer.”

“We have had 3 children who have/currently attending St Bernard’s. All of our children have had the opportunity to flourish due to the supportive and community focus of the staff at the school. The school focuses on developing the whole student – social, emotional, spiritual and academically.”
